Dr. Mark Brombaugh
As Co-Director of Music Ministries Mark serves as our Organist, administers our two music series, Music at Christ Church and Third Fridays at Noon, and is curator of our instruments.  He has enjoyed a rewarding career as faculty member in organ, harpsichord and church music at Westminster Choir College, the University of Oregon, and the University of Illinois, and as church musician, serving United Church on the Green, New Haven, CT, for 16 years.

An active concert and master-class schedule has taken him throughout the United States, with presentations for the American Guild of Organists, Organ Historical Society, Presbyterian Association of Musicians, and numerous colleges and churches. This past year he was featured recitalist at the Oregon Bach Festival in Eugene, Oregon, and harpsichord recitalist for the Western Early Keyboard Association at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. As pipe organ consultant he has guided many churches through the process of education and selection of new instruments and restoration of significant historic instruments. Formal education was acquired at Oberlin College, University of Louisville, and Yale University. Mark is Past Dean of the Tacoma Chapter, AGO, and past national secretary of the Organ Historical Society.

Mark is the featured artist on the Raven CD, The Organ Sings, a collection of the organ compositions of David Dahl, our Music Director Emeritus. It was  recorded at Christ Church in the fall of 2013 on our John Brombaugh pipe organ
