MONTHLY READING GROUP - The Monthly Reading Group will meet at the home of Don and Wanda Johnson on Sunday, May 14, at 6:30 p.m. to discuss No god but God: The Origins, Evolution, and Future of Islam by Reza Aslan. Everyone interested is welcome to attend. If you would like further information, call Don at 566-8747. 
MONDAY BIBLE STUDY – 7:00 PM – 8:00 p.m. in the Library. We are reading the Gospel of John - entering the phase where Jesus goes to Jerusalem. Join us!

13th ANNUAL IMMANUEL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH FREE PLANT EXCHANGE - Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 9:00 to Noon in the Church Parking Lot, 901 North J St.  Tacoma, WA 98403. Bring plants, seeds, cuttings, bulbs, pots, fruits, vegetables, trees, shrubs, starts, garden art, tools, outdoor furniture, or food for the food bank, and exchange your bounty for something you like. There will be Master Gardeners and lots of other experts to answer your questions and give you valuable gardening/landscaping tips. DON’T MISS IT! CATHEDRAL DAY - Saturday, May 13, 10:30 a.m. Holy Eucharist - Enjoy an outing to Saint Mark’s Cathedral, Seattle to support people from around our diocese, including members of Christ Church, who will be confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church by our bishop in this annual Easter day of celebration at our Cathedral.
RACIAL JUSTICE READING GROUP - will meet at the home of Jim Elliott and Anne Avery on Monday, April 24, at 7:00 p.m. to discuss The Autobiography of Malcolm X as told to Alex Haley. Everyone interested is welcome to attend. If you would like further information, call Anne at 301-2461. 
FOOD BANK FOCUS FOR APRIL - Christ Church offers year-round support to the F.I.S.H. Food Bank (Friends in Service to Him). In addition to each month’s focus, cans and boxes of all kinds of food are always welcome, including food for pets. Leave your gift in the baskets in the church entryway. April Focus: Breakfast cereal (hot or cold) oatmeal, granola.

of the University of Illinois and University of Houston, is Music Associate and Organist at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Houston, Texas.

Many Thanks to Dr. Thomas Clark who plays the organ while Co-Directors of Music Ministries are away visiting family. We are appreciative of his presence and talent.
Thanks to the Christ Church Choir for their music and dedication during Lent and Holy Week. After a brief break they return next week. Rehearsals resume on Thursday, April 27 at 7:30. Now is the time for any new singers with appropriate music skills and rehearsal time to consider joining the group.  Some preparation takes place at home as singers work with CDs or piano to learn notes. THE CATHEDRAL TRIO  Friday, May 12, 7:30 p.m. - Naomi Kato, harp; Brian Fairbanks, flute; and Joyce Ramee, viola. Join us to hear music of this gifted Seattle trio in the warm acoustics of Christ Church.
