Holy Baptism is the sacrament through which we participate in Christ's death and resurrection and become members of Christ's body, the Church. A person of any age who has not previously been baptized "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit" may request to be baptized. We believe it is appropriate and desirable to baptize infants and young children when one or both parents are active in the church, living out their commitment "...to follow Christ, to attend corporate worship regularly, to work, pray and give for the spread of the kingdom of God..." (Book of Common Prayer, p. 856).

Confirmation is the sacrament through which we express a mature commitment to Christ and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop. The preparation of candidates for Confirmation is an extension of the overall parish education program and is done by the rector in partnership with parish leaders.
